Well, I think your site isn't appreciated because (and NHF intended) - you don't offer anything new... Yeah, you have a forum, and a chat, and your site is regularly updated with news and has a nice layout, but so are millions on the web. You don't have what it needs to make people switch from portals like Slashdot and forums like DevCube and SitePoint.

Try to make up something new, offer a new service or a feature. Yup, it takes a lot of effort and brainstorming, but it pays up in the end...

Good luck!
Nikola

My issues with it:
1) Slow Load time for a dial-upper - lots of unneeded images.
2) Very busy layout -- remove some of the "last post on forums" and such on the index to help that
3) Text is smallish - especially for navigation

If you can find a lot of people with 20/10 vision and broadband connections, your site should take off. IMHO, content breeds content, so if you keep things moving yourself and sit around long enough, you should go eventually.

I think if you took the Top Posters box off of the first page to make more room for recent news, that would help.

I liked the big icons with the news stories.

You need to work more to grow your forum with more posts. Every one of your forums should have a few posts, "0" doesn't look good.

Best of luck!
