What are you're thoughts of the word "the" in a domain name?
Example:
thesportsdesk.com |

Not really working for me. Seems an awful lot of additional things to add to something that can be clean simple and easy to remember.
I don't think of the word "the" to be naturally included in the domain name, and thus i stop bother looking for the website if i don't get it right the first time. _________________ Philosophy.NU Relaunched! |

Many people will probably just think of your site as sportdesk.com instead of thesportdesk.com. Example: "The Home Depot" is the company's official name but most people just refer to it as "Home Depot". _________________ Josh Ulfers

| If possible, and being able to find better names, without "the" it would be preferable, but as mentioned, they are better than dashes, hyphens or numbers in the names. |
