I am on a school network and my favorites are saved on a network drive. I also managed to accumulate some favorites on my hard disk as well, during the time I was not connected to the network. How can I tell internet explorer to take favorites from my hard disk rather than the network drive?

You could always copy the favorites from your harddrive to the network share.

Well, the network favorites have a few second lag...it is hard do describe. But it has reduced performance, and it's annoying. Lets put it that way

Caleb,

I think i have the fix for your problem. When you installed Novell it most likely edited your registry path to your favorites folder. If you open regedit, you should be able to change the folder back to your local harddrive.

Hive: HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key: Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Name: Favorites
Data Type: REG_EXPAND_SZ
Value: path (variables and UNC names are allowed)
