I suggest mastering HTML (XHTML actually), including semantic markup, web standards and CSS (cascading style sheets).

Maybe from there you can go on to learn Javascript (Unobstrusive) and maybe a web programming language like .Net or PHP.

I taught myself the stuff that I know buy hanging around forums and reading. Also, when I would see a site that I thought was cool I would look to see how it works and if I couldn't figure how they did something then I would ask someone who would know. Good luck with everything.

Hi there,

Yes, Keith is right. Masterize XHTML/CSS2 and complie with standards. Take time to understand the BOX MODEL of each navigator and you will be a master in design in a short time.

Then, you should know PHP/MySQL basics and understand how this foolish world works.

Once you have masterized XHTML/CSS2 and PHP basics you will be a killer ! Smile
